The default Operating System for HP G7000 is windows Vista. If you want to downgrade to windows XP you need to integrate AHCI drivers into windows XP installation disc. This process called slipstream process and you can read the tutorial here.
Use this sata driver for the process: SP37005 (you can extarct it using winrar software or run the software so it will create a SP37005 folder on C:\swsetup folder
